He was wanting to know what is the best IDE possibly similar to Microsoft's Visual Studio for doing Linux based C++ development? I didn't have a good answer.

Jon,
I've heard very good things about Eclipse ... so many, in fact, that I plan on snarfing it.

Wed, February 14, 2007 - 9:18 AMI tried Eclipse for a while, and it will certainly get you by. But, I found the Anjuta IDE much better.. They both have active development going on, but Eclipse is written in Java, which I think adds to it's bloat and performance issues I had with it.. anyways, that's my two cents.. :)
