Hey all, i just started a C++ class at my college and found that even though the last time i took a programming clas was QBasic in 10th grade, it all seems to cross over between the two.
Oh well, i guess all i really wanted to do was say hi and warn you guys that you may get a lot of simpleton questions sent your way to help with my homework. Just to let you know.
Thanks- Zack

Re: the newb says high
Sun, February 8, 2004 - 7:21 PMPretty much all programming languages have similarities. They all have for loops, while loops, variables, if statements...but between Qbasic and C++ it's pretty much it.
I doubt that Qbasic allows much OO design, classes, pointers, inheritance or polymorphism...but correct me if I'm wrong :)

Sun, February 8, 2004 - 7:35 PMdude i don't need your cinicism, i know C++ has a lot more to it than Q does. I was just stating an observation of my own from a point of inexperience. I had imagined C++ to be a little more complicated of a transition, is all. -
